Laura is the managing partner of Mazel Immigration Law based in the San Francisco Bay area and has over 25 years of experience counseling start-up and multinational corporations and non-profit medical research and academic institutions nationwide in all aspects of corporate immigration. She provides proactive advice on the immigration consequences and benefits related to growth, mergers, acquisitions and other corporate restructuring in the high tech and biotech industries. Laura advises HR and Legal teams on achieving rapid immigration onboarding as well as minimizing risks when downsizing. Laura has conducted numerous training courses for in-house human resource and legal teams, and oversees internal audits on I-9 documents and compliance with DOL requirements under the H-1B and labor certification programs. Laura is consistently recognized in Who’s Who Legal and Chambers USA as a leader in the immigration field.
